On June 11, 2024, Aquaproducts celebrated the grand opening of its Marine Biotech Vietnam (MBV) factory. The event, held at the state-of-the-art facility, welcomed a diverse group of clients, partners, and industry specialists from Vietnam and abroad.
The day commenced with an extensive factory tour, showcasing the cutting-edge technology and processes employed by MBV. Attendees had the opportunity to witness firsthand the innovative methods used in producing dry hydrolysate protein powder, a key product for the Asian feed and pet food markets.
The opening ceremony featured insightful speeches from notable figures. Mr. Trần Văn Tươi, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Long An province, praised Aquaproducts for their commitment to sustainable development and local economic growth.
Co-founders Thomas Levallois and François Dupuis shared the journey and vision of Aquaproducts, highlighting the company’s dedication to up-cycling seafood by-products through innovation and technology. They emphasized how this new facility will strengthen Aquaproducts’ position as a key regional hub for marine functional proteins in Southeast Asia.
Michel Guillaume, a consultant in nutrition at GEOSAN, delivered a compelling address on the necessity for a more sustainable industry and local empowerment. He commended Aquaproducts for embodying this vision, noting the company’s efforts in optimizing protein extraction from seafood by-products and contributing to eco-friendly processes.
The opening of the MBV factory marks a significant milestone for Aquaproducts. With a target output capacity of 10,000 metric tons per year, the facility is poised to play a crucial role in the company’s mission to provide advanced natural solutions for the Asian aqua and livestock feed industries.
